We had a very literal staycation that started Thursday night. We stayed in our own home as I am 36 weeks pregnant and don’t find most beds comfortable. To kick off the long weekend, we took the boys to our favorite family friendly restaurant, Serrano’s in downtown Chandler. Afterwards the boys played at the “waterfall” as Josias refers to it. Both boys love this area and even though it was still probably in the 100s, they played for a good while. Joe joined them in playing tag & wrestling for a little bit. We love being a family of four, but are excited to expand to five in hopefully a month.

Josias finally taking an afternoon nap! It has been a while, but bedtime sharing a room is very hard and consists of late nights and early mornings. I am hoping that this will be one of many naps.
E is full of energy and took his first tumble down the stairs in our home. He came up with just a few bumps which makes this mommy happy. He is two and throws many temper tantrums, but is also still ridiculously happy most the time. A few minutes after falling he was running around laughing. He loves having his picture taken, but rarely can stay still.

Josias the conductor who loves trains and playing. One thing Josias and mommy have in common is a love for all fruit. Josias loves eating a whole mango with mommy.
E is pure energy. He is a bruiser, but with sweetness. The other day, he asked Josias to kiss his boo boo. Then it was all better. A few minutes later E kissed Josias’ hurt knee. I am glad they like to take care of each other.

Josias’ imagination has taken off, he loves to play pig, dinosaur, dragon or lion. The hardest part is realizing who he is because he only responds to that name. E plays with Josias, but he is usually a lion.
Joe had to work on the weekend, so he got home earlier on Thursday to play with the boys. Josias is the scary dinosaur attacking E and Joe.

Josias is into Frisbee golf right now. On Saturday, Joe took them to Walmart to get a Frisbee. It was bright outside, but Josias had fun throwing his Frisbee around and trying to get it in the bucket. E liked his Frisbee, but enjoyed playing at the park more. It was refreshing to be outside with no one sick.

Oh, Josias, we have to break you of your habit to dig for buggers. I love that he picked out his Cardinal’s jersey all by himself! Even after mommy hid it in the closet because football season is over. E is enjoying building with the magnet blocks just as much as big brother. He asks for help from Daddy to build towers, but is getting pretty good at building by himself.

“I’m singing in the rain, just singing in the rain. what a glorious feeling. I’m happy again.” Rain is a huge celebration here. Josias is fully an Arizona boy and was out getting wet and then using the umbrella. It was fun to watch and enjoy a glorious break from summer starting to early.
E was almost as ecstatic about the rain. He however wanted Daddy to carry the umbrella most of the time. He eventually got comfortable and was cavorting with Josias.
It was fun watching them play and I look forward to more rainy days and umbrellas.

Sickness has been in our house for a week or two and is making tired boys and momma. Josias has had some bright moments though. He made this building during quiet rest time and was very proud to show off the bridge section. We kept it up for him to show Daddy. I enjoy watching his building skills grow.
E is very strange when sick. He spends time just resting on the sofa or laying his head down at the park. He also sucks his thumb a lot. It is hard to see him not his usual energetic self.
