Josias discovered snakes this week. He anticipated preschool with Oma which was about snakes and he made one with Oma. The day after preschool, he was telling me all about snakes, they don’t eat humans, some make noise, they don’t talk, some climb trees. He also learned how to buckle himself in the car! The best moment was seeing him want to be a gentleman just like his daddy. I was walking ahead of the boys with Joy in her car seat to quickly enter the restaurant. I heard some talking behind me and turned to see Josias running towards me with his face crestfallen. I heard Joe say something about the door and I let it quickly close to wait for my big boy to open the door for Joy and I. I walked across the threshold with a boy beaming with pride that he had opened the door for his mommy and sister.49of52-josias

E is fascinated with bridges. As I was driving to church, he kept asking to go over Daddy’s bridge. Then he wanted to go over Papa’s bridge. E thinks almost all the bridges in town are designed by either his Daddy or Papa. Unfortunately for him Daddy has only worked on one bridge in Arizona and it is a long drive for him, but why correct. E is also very protective of Joy. He is worried about her and makes sure she has her pacifier, blanket, toys, etc.

Seeing how protective E is of his sister, Daddy re-wrote the song below:

Sister
Sister
There was never a more loved sister

Never had to have a chaperone “No, sir”
Bros are there to keep their eyes on her

Lord help the mister
Who tries to date my little sister
And Lord help my sister
Who tries sneak out with a man 49of52-e

Joy is discovering so much. She is enjoying tummy time right now and even sort of rolled over onto her back. She got an amber necklace to help with what we think is teething. She is mostly joyful and loves to watch her brothers.49of52-joy
