38 weeks

Full term and I am a boat.  Junior is doing well, moving a lot and confused about how he/she is supposed to come out.  I feel sometimes like my tummy might explode as junior presses out.  Hopefully, I have only two weeks or less left to meet junior.

32 weeks

I feel huge and I still have around 8 weeks (plus/minus) to go.  Junior really started moving the past week.  Jr Heller moved so much during my Bradley class, that the teacher thought I was having early labor.  I explained after class that Jr. just wants more room and is trying to stretch my stomach 😉

Valentine’s day, just the two of us

Valentine’s day this year was low-key compared to our first three celebrated together (one dating and two married).

2009:

As a recap, Joe took me to a very nice restaurant when we were dating and then stargazing afterwards.  Oh, and he gave me beautiful sapphire earrings.

2010:

Our first Valentine’s as a married couple, Joe surprised me with around 100 roses.

2011:

Last year Joe went all out crazy with this:

I received a rose each day starting a week before Valentine’s day with each day increasing in number until V-day.  On Valentines day, Joe gave me seven roses and a wonderful camera lens.  I gave him his favorite rendition of Lord of the Rings on cd and the Hobbit in written format.

2012:

This year we had the same menu as last year (maybe starting a tradition): side salad, asparagus, mashed potatoes and chicken piccata (from William and Sonoma).  We enjoyed drinking strawberry lemonade with dinner.  For dessert I made a delectable dessert, Golden Cake with Tangerine Fudge Frosting.  Joe did get me flowers and wrote a really lovely, sweet letter.  I gave Joe the Silmarillion (by J.R.R. Tolkien).

new love seat (to me)!!!

At the beginning of this year, Joe put me on a more thought out budget.  One that included the fact that I no longer worked outside the home making money, as well as little junior.  I am doing pretty well and I did add some pieces of furniture to the house in December/January that did cost, the most expensive being for the baby room.

Then two Saturdays ago, I spotted this beautiful couch at B & L Heller’s neighbors drive-way.

It was love at first sight and more so after sitting on it.  There was a sign saying it was only $25.  I was really excited about it and asked Joe if we could get it.  He just asked one question, “Evie, how are you going to get it to our house?”  I sadly realized even with all my nerdy skills, there was no way a love seat would fit in my very small Honda Civic.  I was still hopeful the next day and left a phone message with the neighbors (M).  To my delight, M called me back on Monday and asked if I still wanted the sofa.  I said yes, but sadly had no way to pick it up.  She told me it was okay, because her husband had loaded it up in his car, wanting to get rid of it that day!  So, when Joe arrived home on Monday night, I had a new love seat delivered all for free!

Me enjoying my new piece of furniture. (FYI, it is supposedly a Drexel love seat from the early 1980’s)
